Yvonne Lishman ~ Just The Facts.
• I’m a lovely fluffy Leo the lion, born in St Andrews in 1964. Yes, I really am that old.
• In 1983 I started my training in Medical Photography qualifying in 1986. Icky yucky gruesome stuff I know.
• I sometimes forget that photography’s my job because I love it.
• While photographing a wedding once my silky dress blew up round my head and everyone saw my knickers. I couldn’t stop laughing but the guests fell ill so I don’t wear dresses like that anymore.
• I find the most inappropriate things funny.
• I believe the potato crisp to be man’s single greatest invention, and my waistlines downfall.
• I believe pugs and kittens to be God’s single greatest invention. They prove he has a sense of humour.
• I live in a lovely little old house with my lovely husband a lovely pug and three lovely cats.
• I over use the word lovely.
• Radio 3 rocks but then so do Green Day and Queen.
• My pug or Richard Branson would make a good prime minister.
• I’ve seen Die Hard about six million times and Sense and Sensibility about the same.
• If I didn’t have a TV I’d really miss Top Gear and the Superbike racing.
• When I talk to my mum or dad on the phone I end up sounding more Scottish.
• I’ve been a geological photographer, RSPCA volunteer photographer and education officer, and a teacher. Hey! What's wrong with wanting the same holidays as my husband?
• In 2006 I set up Yvonne Lishman Photography, a wedding and portrait photography business in Nottingham. So nowadays it’s fun and fabulous weddings, chirpy pucker people, sweet little things that dash about and furry critters that purr and woof.
Well my lovelies, soon to be photographed by me, what are you waiting for? In the words of John McLane ~ kind of, ‘Come to Nottingham, we’ll get together, have a few laughs.’ ~ Bruce Willis (Diehard)
